The salmon fishing is on now on the Muskegon River. We have had 4 days of really good action and it should only get better. With rain in the forcast this could prove to produce the mother load of Lake Michigan Salmon entering all the rivers in West Michigan. The fishing on the Manistee River has been good as well as on the Pere Marquette. We do have some dates left for September but they are almost filled. The run is earlier this year so don not hesitate or you will miss the action. This morning we threw Thunder Stix on light spinning gear and large streamers on the 10 wt fly rod. We had one fish smash the fly but missied the hook up, but hey it made our hearts pound. There is nothing like a Salmon on the Fly.
