The salmon fishing is very good in the Muskegon River. The early morning bite is still producing the best. The Salmon are still fresh but some are starting to get a bit elderly if you will. The fly fishing is picking up for Salmon on the upper end with some fish starting to show up on the gravel. The runs and deeper holes have been producing best for the fly anglers. The water has come up with the last bit of rain but more rain will certainly add to the numbers of salmon in the river and make the migration easier on them.
