With the water levels dropping daily the Steelhead fishing on the Muskegon should soon be back to normal. The last two days have been slow with the water near 4000 cfs. Today the water was at 3160 cfs and started to clear up a bit. We did a cast and blast today and had some luck. 5 geese to start the day and double digit Steelhead brought to the net. The technoque we used for the Steelhead was boone doggling. The is a dificult technique if you have not done it before but with a bit of instruction and practice it is deadly, especially when the fishing is tough. Pulling plugs is also now an option as the debris is clearing up as well with the water levels coming down.
